Accounts payable (AP)
Accounts payable (AP) refers to a business’s short-term financial obligations to its suppliers for goods and services received on Credit. It’s a current liability on a company’s balance sheet and represents unpaid invoices that are due to be settled. The accounts payable department manages this process by receiving, verifying, and paying these invoices to maintain positive supplier relationships and control cash flow.
