The given quadratic equation:9×2 – 6x – 2 = 0Here,a = 9, b = – 6 and c = -2 ∴ Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac = (-6)2 – 4(9)(-2) = 36 – 36(-2) = 36 – (-72) = 36 + 72 = 108
